The play follows a maid and her employer who are undergoing cancer treatment simultaneously — one practically cured, the other just beginning chemotherapy. Despite its delicate subject matter, the story unfolds with lightness, humour and sensitivity, exploring the emotional, social and behavioural aspects of illness. Themes of generosity, empathy, love, fear, and self-esteem run throughout this forty-minute production at Playground 2.
