Google Alasdair CameronAbout Alasdair Cameron
Alasdair Cameron – Piano Recital is a 60-minute classical music programme at the Church at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The recital features three composers, two of whom were forerunners of what was to come. Beethoven began in the Classical period to loosen traditional forms and write more emotional music. In the Romantic Period that followed, Liszt in his late works declared his wish to 'hurl a lance as far as possible into the boundless realms of the future', with techniques such as Impressionism and Serialism appearing in embryo. Suitable for ages 12 and over.
