About the show
Aftertaste is a new writing comedy-drama by Suffragette Theatre Company, performed at Thistle Theatre over 55 minutes. Following a recent breakup, Juniper pours her heart out to strangers over wine-fuelled evenings, navigating a hideously awkward hook-up, a disastrous blind date, and a mansplaining encounter. Her best friend Maddie — a yoga-loving, herbal tea-drinking, crystal-worshipping optimist — urges her to trust the universe. Age guidance is 16+; the show contains references to sex and alcohol consumption.
Why see this show?
A warmly relatable portrait of modern dating chaos — sharp enough to sting and funny enough to make you glad someone put it on stage. Juniper's disasters feel lived-in, and the friendship between her and Maddie gives the show genuine heart.
