About The Horgles
The Horgles, an amateur company, present A Xerox of a Deer at the Studio as part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe. An aging Irish deer, the last of his kind, yearns for a scrap with the oncoming traffic of the nearby motorway. Worlds are forever changed when he meets Ída, a runaway farmer trapped in tradition. Contemporary, absurdist and Irish as muck, this story of identity, roadkill and queerness is told through puppetry by Kyle Moss and Ceilbí, with the script written by Ceilbí. The show runs for 45 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 16 and over.
Why see this show?
Absurdist Irish puppetry about identity and belonging, with an unlikely friendship at its heart. A Xerox of a Deer is the kind of odd, original Fringe show that lingers — strange, warm and genuinely its own thing.
