About the show
A Montage of Monet is a new play from Threedumb Theatre that looks beyond the famous water lilies to explore the man behind the paintings. Using innovative projections throughout, the piece examines Monet's two marriages, the devastating death of his first wife, the erratic behaviour of his lover, and his suicide attempt. The play also ventures into his relationships with fellow impressionists and the anguish of his failing eyesight — a condition that threatened to end his artistic life. The show runs 55 minutes and is performed by storyteller Stephen Smith. Suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
