Valery Ponomarev is a Russian-American trumpeter and Jazz Messengers alumnus who escaped the USSR and subsequently toured the world with Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers for four years, recording 11 albums. Joined by an all-star international band, this elite quintet performs at the Edinburgh Fringe celebrating one of jazz's most influential institutions. The show lasts 90 minutes and is for adults aged 18 and over.
