About Ayindé
16 Summers is an interactive theatre piece by Ayindé, performed at Space 3. A Gen Xer's nostalgic coming-of-age tale, it traverses the building blocks of identity through a series of lessons, memories, funny anecdotes and conversations with the audience. The play is fixed around the cleaning of old memories in an old room, with a cast of characters drawn from a corner store, family business and second home. Crowd work is woven into the theatre piece, and audiences are invited to speak and interact. Suitable for ages 14 and over, it runs for 55 minutes.
