I really need to touch that 3 times. 1, 2, 3. F*ck. Did anyone see that? In a world full of ugliness, desperation and people touching you with dirty hands, a young girl tries to hide her OCD symptoms, but it's in her DNA and the world starts noticing. But relax. It's a comedy. Fine, tragicomedy. A monologue full of 1,2,3's, changing from verse to prose focused on the PTSD of sexual abuse, which worsened the girl's OCD and developed it to a place where she didn't feel "normal".

About AM•UART

This solo monologue from AM•UART follows a young girl trying to hide her OCD symptoms in a world that won't stop noticing. Switching between verse and prose, the show is part comedy, part tragicomedy — following her compulsions and the way PTSD connected to sexual abuse has deepened and shaped her OCD over time. Dark, honest and unexpectedly funny, the show runs for 50 minutes at Coorie and is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over. It contains distressing and potentially triggering themes.

Why see this show?

A sharp and unusual piece that refuses to be defined by its subject matter alone. By framing a deeply personal story through the rhythms of verse and comedy, it finds something both specific and universal — a show that takes OCD seriously without losing its sense of humour.
