Google Atsushi OgataAbout Atsushi Ogata
Atsushi Ogata and Valeria Vulpe bring their cross-cultural stand-up show to Just the Club Room as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Atsushi is a filmmaker, comedian and actor who was born a class clown in Japan, grew up in the US and has lived across Europe — turning cross-cultural observations, absurd misunderstandings and mishaps into laughs. Valeria Vulpe, formerly a mathematician, blends the absurdity of growing up in a country most people think is invented with the stark perspective of an immigrant. The show runs for 50 minutes and is suitable for ages 18 and over.
Why see this show?
Two genuinely distinctive comedic voices with very different routes to the same outsider perspective. Cross-cultural comedy at its sharpest — funny because it's specific, resonant because it's true.
